OUR COACHES
LEARN FROM THE ALL AMERICANS

Richboro is extremely fortunate to have the finest and most experienced cadre of summer swim club coaches in the entire area. Each of the coaches literally “grew up” at Richboro and all have a sincere interest in seeing each of our current swimmers learn and enjoy competitive swimming in our nurturing summer atmosphere.

Diane Rauchut, a former high school All-American at Centennial High School, who went on to a successful swimming career at East Stroudsburg University, is the dean of Lower Bucks Swim League Coaches. She is entering her 34th season as head coach at Richboro.

Terri McKendry will again be coaching our team this year. Terri swam for Richboro for 10 seasons, was a standout at Mt. St. Joseph Academy and Fairfield University. Her experience also includes serving as assistant coach at Gwyned Mercy Academy. Terri will also serve as Parent’s Association liason as well as meet director for the Aquapentathlon.

Tom Yaegel Tom achieved tremendous success in the pool at each level of competition beginning with his summers spent competing for the Richboro Swim Team (where he still holds numerous league, team and pool records) through his collegiate career. Along the way he achieved Top-16 National Age group times in multiple events, was named an All-American in High-School 3 times swimming for former Richboro Coach Frank Lichtner and was a 2-time 1st Team All Atlantic-10 team member in College at La Salle University. Tom’s primary events were butterfly, sprint and middle distance freestyle and achieved Junior/Senior National championship qualifying times in multiple events. His swimming career gave him the opportunity to swim for some of the area’s best coaches in addition to the aforementioned Coach Lichtner, Tom trained with U.S. National team coach Richard Shoulberg and multiple Conference Coach of the Year winner, John Lyons at La Salle university. Through countless hours with those coaching staffs his approach to training, stroke technique, racing strategy and preparation has been shaped by some of the best minds and he is eager to share his knowledge with the next generation of swimmer. Tom spent his first year following college graduation with La Salle University’s staff and has been actively involved in age group swimming ever since. He currently serves as President of the Springfield Aquatic Club working closely with the Aquatics Director and current Head Coach of the 2016 National High School Champion La Salle High School swim team, Steve Duncheskie, building a program to support swimmers of all ability.

TJ Schenkel was a State Finalist for Council Rock's Diving Team and a very successful diver at Penn State for his 4 years there.  He currently is the coach of the Council Rock Aquatic Diving Club Team.  TJ has been a member, lifeguard and diver at the Richboro Swim Team since he was a young child.
